Android Tablet PCs – a look into the pros and cons
The rise of Android Tablet computers have been nothing short of phenomenal. From its first release, there have been a lot variations and added features that one cannot simply keep track of everything. For most technologically savvy people, this device is merely waiting to happen and part of the inevitable evolution of the computer world. However, there are skeptics that find Android Tablet PCs to be a fad and simply a waste of money.
Android is a well-known operating system that is currently a hit among smart phones in the market today. Big mobile phone companies scramble to put this system in their devices to be more competitive and rise among other brands. With the constant upgrading of this operating system, it sure is not a surprise that a step-up is also in the works for an Android Table computer.
Tablet computers on the other hand is a portable PC device and usually in the form of a slate. A user uses a stylus to either tap the screen or write directly onto the gadget. It can also connect to the internet through Wi-Fi technology as well as other computers. The Android Tablet computer is designed specifically for those who are always on the go and cannot be saddled with heavy laptop computers.
As most types of tablets, the Android Tablet is made to be held or laid flat on a table which makes it an ideal device for reading and browsing through the internet. However, people who are more inclined to use computers for long working hours may find the Android Table to be quite frustrating.
The Android Tablet can be easily stored or kept in a bag, without the need to carry on additional bags as with most laptop computers. It is generally the lightest and most portable form of computer these days that is why it is easy to see why a lot of people are scrambling to get one of these units. How else can you beat an Android Tablet that not only has features of a computer but has the advantage of portability as well?
Android Tablet PCs are touch sensitive and can recognize handwriting which is useful for users who are heavy note takers such as students, lawyers, or medical representatives. This is the device that some professional writers who feel more at ease with the act of writing than typing for their articles or columns. Designers can also take advantage of this feature and eliminate the use of pen and paper but instead directly input their work on the Android Tablet computer.
People who like games may not be so fond of an Android Tablet or something like it because, as of today, game applications have not yet been perfected for use in tablet computers and is still being developed.
